Druzhba Almaty

Pleasing patio dinner on a hot day. The staff was clearly overwhelmed, which resulted in some shortcomings, like not bringing proper cutlery for soup, not bringing olive oil and hot sauce for pizza, etc. But I feel like it's not happening here all the time, and everything was fixed quickly. Overall, we were happy with the kitchen's work. The presentation of okroshka (cold Russian soup) is lovely, and I appreciate a lot that all ingredients were julienned rather than chopped. I would probably also add a side of horseradish for people who like to add more kick to that refreshing dish, but I guess not everyone needs that. The pizza was nice. I definitely can tell that it came from a proper wood-fired pizza oven. Again, it is rather a personal preference, but I think a bit more thinly sliced Prosciutto would be beneficial. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it a lot. As I mentioned, there were some hiccups on the service's side, but I feel like it is not a regular occurrence, and the staff was having a rough day. We enjoyed our stay here, so I think it is worth visiting this establishment.

Very nice athmosphere along with tasty food. However it is unfortunately not allowed to smoke even in outside. How weird it is... And service could be really late like you should get used to it if you sit in any café or restaurant in Almatı. Toilets were really clean which is really hard to find here... However the food is really good and it tastes and has a visual like the ones in Italy, I mean especially the pizza. You should at least give it a try if you really missed Italian food or nice athmosphere with your girlfriend.

Visited Druzhba Almaty Cafe and was impressed by the cozy atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing afternoon. The tea selection was fantastic, offering a variety of flavors to choose from. Highly recommend for a peaceful tea experience in Almaty.
